Wyong Racecourse
71–73 Howarth Street, Wyong NSW 2259
Sara Ryan Racing’s main training stable is based at Wyong Racecourse on the NSW Central Coast, with access to an extensive range of professional training facilities.
The racecourse offers four different training surfaces, an equine swimming pool and an arena, providing the flexibility to vary each horse’s work and tailor their training program to their individual needs.
Having multiple training options is an important part of Sara’s approach, allowing workloads to be adjusted according to a horse’s fitness, soundness, stage of preparation and temperament rather than relying on the same routine every day.
With a diverse range of facilities available on site, Wyong provides a professional and versatile training environment designed to give each horse every opportunity to prepare and perform at its best.
NSW Private Property
Just minutes from Wyong Racecourse, Sara Ryan Racing’s private 30-acre property is an important part of the stable’s training system.
The property features spacious paddocks, boxes, safe purpose-built yards, an arena and treadmill, providing a versatile environment for pre-training, freshening and giving horses a change of scenery away from the routine of the racetrack, while remaining under the care and supervision of the Sara Ryan Racing team.
The combination of boxes, secure yards and paddocks allows each horse to be managed according to its individual needs. Whether a horse benefits from time in a paddock, a quieter yard environment or a more structured stable routine, the team has the flexibility to adapt its surroundings throughout the preparation.
Being able to move horses between the private property and Wyong Racecourse is a key part of Sara’s approach. Horses can freshen mentally and physically, maintain or build fitness, and gradually progress towards full training without leaving the stable’s care.
The private property gives Sara and her team greater control and continuity over each horse’s program from start to finish, while providing the space and variety that can be so important to keeping horses happy, sound and performing at their best.
